FIGHTING FOR FAMILIES
The attorneys at Boyd Kenter Thomas & Parrish have successfully settled and tried numerous firefighter cancer cases, many of which have come to successful outcomes over the last decade. The Firm is presently working to draft and update legislation which strengthens the protections for first responders and their families.
J.R. Boyd and Jason Iezzi tried the first of those Missouri claims on behalf of a Gladstone fire captain who died at age 54 from non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, following a six-year battle against the disease. They overturned the judge’s denial of benefits after appealing to the Missouri Labor & Industrial Relations Commission and are currently awaiting oral argument at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, where they are the respondents.
Congratulations to Jason Iezzi and Erica Mae Fumagalli for recently receiving their licenses to practice law in Kansas.
