OPT-OUT – COMING TO A LEGISLATURE NEAR YOU
When a person is injured during the course and scope of their employment, workers compensation laws traditionally provide medical and monetary benefits. However, that 100+ year old safety net is under attack by business interests which are urging legislatures to adopt new laws that allow employers to decide whether they wish to be covered by the state workers’ compensation law or these alternative plans.
